TARFEST FILM FESTIVAL 2009

1. Short Shorts
We love short films, but unfortunately they often run 21 minutes long, for this category we're looking for your best work that is UNDER 5 minutes. It can be a narrative, animation, documentary, experimental, spec spots or whatever… but it must be under 5 minutes, any films over that time WILL NOT be considered.

2. Music Videos
This category is intended to feature music videos that are innovative and creative.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE

TarFest 2009 is about celebrating community in Los Angeles, specifically the good people who work and live in the Miracle Mile district of Wilshire Blvd. The Film component has long been an essential ingredient in the celebration of TarFest. This year the film festival will screen the afternoon of Saturday September 26th at the Korean Cultural Center's screening room.

ABOUT

TarFest 2009 film festival will include a one hour block of programming. The show will include both music videos and short "SHORTS" of five minutes or less. We strongly encourage L.A. filmmakers to submit and join us in celebrating their works.

GENERAL RULES

Announcement of films accepted into TARFEST 2009: The list of films accepted into TARFEST 2009 will be announced on the TARFEST website, and via email. If you want to be certain of being notified, please be sure to include your email address in your film festival submission materials.

TECHNICAL SPECS

1. Please submit all entries as a DATA DVDs
2. DATA DVDs must include QUICKTIME mov file(s).
3. All films should be WIDESCREEN or ANAMORPHIC WIDESCREEN. If films are 4:3 Aspect Ratio, they must be converted to WIDESCREEN Aspect Ratio prior to submitting.
4. Audio MUST be married with the film. We will not accept any submissions with a separate audio file(s) that need to be synced.
5. No DVDs will be returned.
